Never leave a burning Candle-lite candle unattended - stay within sight of it at all times.
Avoid burning candles near any combustible materials, or in any environment that could present a fire hazard. Make sure that there is ample overhead clearance and that They are not too close to walls. Be especially careful of proximity to clothing, furniture and the body.
Keep lighted Candle-lite candles out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not touch or attempt to move candles while burning. Glass candle holders and liquid wax can get very HOT. Extinguish flame and wait until the wax has completely hardened before moving.
Burn Candle-lite candles on dry, heat-resistant surfaces - and always in the proper size holders or on the proper non-flammable bases.
Discontinue use of a Candle-lite candle in a glass container when 1/2" of unmelted wax remains to avoid glass breakage or heat damage. Our specially designed wick clip prevents the flame from making direct contact with the glass. Some wax may remain for safety's sake.
Keep Candle-lite candles free of matches, wick trimmings or other debris. Foreign matter can act as a secondary wick and could cause flaring or container breakage.
Trim wicks to 1/4" before lighting. If a light flame or smoking is noted, extinguish, Trim wick to 1/4" and relight. For best performance, burn no longer than 4 hours.

Take special care with filled glass candles. Keep the wicks centered and trimmed to 1/4" while burning to prevent any glass breakage.
Do not use any filled glass container that is chipped, cracked or damaged in any way.
Do not place a hot, filled glass Candle-lite candle on a cold surface. The difference in Temperature may cause the candle glass to crack or break.
Take care to keep filled glass candles on a level burning surface to keep the flame from Touching the glass sidewall and to prevent wax from spilling out of the container;
Never extinguish Candle-lite candles with water! Water may cause the hot wax to splatter and some candle containers to crack or break. Smother flames with a wet cloth.
To extinguish, hold one finger in front of the flame and blow at it. The airflow around the finger will prevent any splattering of hot wax. Use of a snuffer will also prevent spraying.
Extinguish taper and pillar candles when they are within 2" of their holders or decorations.
Before burning, remove the paper labels from the bottom of the votives, pillars and all free standing candles. |
